Aurora Sports Hall of Fame Unveils "Official" Logo
The Aurora Sports Hall of Fame [ASHoF] Board of Directors is pleased to unveil the "official" logo.
After many weeks of meetings and briefings with Aurorans John Stephenson and Peter Billings, the Board agreed on one logo that will now graphically represent ASHoF.

Inspired by the classic Greek sculpture "Winged Victory", this design focuses on the human element.  The spreading of the wings denotes the true spirit of sport and competition.

Aurora Sports Hall of Fame Nominations are Open
The Aurora Sport Hall of Fame has taken another step forward. On May 1st the Chair of the Induction Committee, Ms. Kate Collins, announced that months of work have culminated in making the nomination and selection processes public.

We have posted the nomination forms for the Selection Panel who will be responsible for applying the Induction Criteria. Local sport organizations can nominate people for this post.

The forms can be found in the ASHoF section of the website.

Nominations are open for worthy potential Inductees to the Inaugural Induction Dinner that will be held on November 9th. Three categories have been identified for Induction in 2013; Athlete, Coach and Builder/Contributor. The Criteria for the selection of these first Members of the Aurora Sport Hall of Fame are also posted on the ASHoF section.

If you would like more information on this; a telephone interview or other discussion with either Ron Weese or the Chair of the Committee, please connect with either one of them.

"The Breakfast of Champions Event" is an annual multi-sport event in order to recognize, celebrate, reward, and publicise the achievements of individuals or teams and their coaches/managers who have won Provincial Championships (or better) within their sports.

Please contact Dr. Doug LeGallais; odlegallais@rogers.com or by phone 905.713.0193 for more information or if you'd like to be part of the committee team.
